Ball State Field Trips is an organization that has aimed to provide engaging educational opportunities for students using the power of technology and emerging media. Ball State Field Trips has been around since 1995 and in 2016 Sydney Noland and myself were asked to rebrand Ball State Field Trips. During our brainstorming sessions we found words such as “adventure,” “discovery,” and “creation” to be the center of this brand.

For this comprehensive branding campaign we were faced to identify an issue within our community and create an organization that solved this issue. I created Kaleidoscope, a butterfly conservation group dedicated to educating communities about different ways to conserve this species. My strategy was to create a fun and informative organization that actively reached out to the community in order to educate and encourage the community to get involved in invertebrate conservation. My branding campaign consists of and identification app, an educational website, promotional posters, a public origami event, and packaging. Kaleidoscope's branding was inspired by many words, natural, conservation, diverse, community, & pattern. Some longer-living butterflies migrate during the year, flying south during the cold winter months and returning to the north in the spring and summer. These groups of butterflies are referred to as a Kaleidoscope. Below are the lockups for Kaleidoscope, colors, typography, and patterns associated with the brand.

This website design was for the Ball State College of Architecture. This past year a group of students and teachers traveled to Death Valley to learn more about survival and building a home in an extreme environments. For this collaborative design project with the Digital Corps, I was one of many designers coming up with solutions to display the Architecture Department's extreme environments exploration. This site was built to show their exploration along with interactive ways to get to know these students.

Various branding, album covers, and poster designs for musicians such as Copper Castles, Anomalous Bass, DJ STVNK, and Pyramid Paradox.
Anomalous Bass is a producer and collaborator creating new and unique electronic dance music from Evansville, Indiana. When I began on this project I thought a lot about fingerprints and their unique compositions, which is what led to the overall theme for the designs for Anomalous Bass. Sitting side by side with him has really been an inspiration for this design. Observing the complexity of each song and how it's composed in an almost repetitious way also relates back to the repetition found in our fingerprints.
This piece titled "Damage" was an experiment testing my knowledge and skill by creating a word out of a three dimensional object. It took roughly 30 hours and 3,000 matches to create this piece of typography.
