One of my main concerns when walking around DOMA was understanding where everything was located. Not only was it confusing finding where the different exhibits were, but the elevators were very poorly labeled. The makes it very hard for people navigating in a wheelchair to get around the museum. Not only were maps almost nonexistent, but the ones provided were hard to understand. My solution to this problem was creating a large floor map of DOMA and displaying it publicly in multiple places of entry of the museum. One floor plan will be displayed when you enter the Riverside entrance and another will be displayed when you enter the South entrance. This floor plan will also be a print brochure that will be available for visitors at both entrances as well.
